Sophia-Marie Genest

Biography

Member of the Corporate/Commercial Law Group and the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Law Group

A member of the Quebec Bar since 2024, Sophia-Marie has a diverse expertise, working in both business law and litigation and dispute resolution. Her practice covers commercial and corporate law, with a particular focus on mergers and acquisitions, as well as corporate reorganizations. She also specializes in civil and commercial litigation, particularly in legal research and drafting procedures.

During her law degree at Université Laval, Sophia-Marie enriched her experience by completing a semester at the Université de Toulouse in France. Throughout her studies, she also volunteered at the Université Laval Legal Information Clinic. Additionally, she undertook a PROBONO mandate for the Elizabeth Fry Society of Quebec, an organization that advocates for women's rights and works to improve detention conditions.

After completing her studies, she immediately joined the DS team, where she also completed her articling for the Bar.
