Before joining the firm, Gabriel completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Sherbrooke, where he was highly involved in various committees within the student association of the Faculty of Law. In parallel with his Bachelor of Laws, Gabriel pursued a graduate degree in Common Law and Transnational Law (Juris Doctor), which equipped him with extensive knowledge in Canadian, American, and English common law, as well as various insights into international and transnational law. During his time at the University of Sherbrooke, he served as a research and teaching assistant with several professors. He conducted extensive research in construction law, contract law, and legal interpretation.
Finally, community involvement is important to him. Over the past few years, Gabriel has served as an administrator of the Sherbrooke Young Lawyers Association, holding the position of secretary-treasurer. He has also been involved with Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Young Bar of Quebec.
