Biography

Lawyer in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group

Scarlett Trazo is a bilingual litigation associate in the Ottawa-Gatineau office. She graduated cum laude from the French common law program at the University of Ottawa in 2017.  Scarlett is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Law Society of British Columbia.

Prior to joining DS Lawyers, Scarlett was an associate at a large national firm in Ottawa where she practiced commercial litigation and health law with a focus on civil litigation and regulatory matters involving regulated health professionals.

Scarlett is very passionate about her active mentorship of the next generation of bilingual law professionals who will continue to ensure access to justice in French in Ontario. She is an active member of the Young Lawyers’ Committee of the Association des juristes d’expression française de l’Ontario (“AJEFO”), and a mentor with the Law Practice Program offered at the Toronto Metropolitan University.

Scarlett is the mother of two wonderful young boys who keep her very busy. She enjoys collecting French comic books (bandes dessinées) and catching up on her favorite Japanese anime episodes whenever she has the time.
